Nicola Tibbetts is an artist and art instructor who lives in Vancouver, BC. She works predominantly in painting and drawing. In 2008 Nicola received a BFA from Concordia University in Montreal and in 2010 completed an MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University.Since 2006 Nicola has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in both solo and group exhibitions and has received grants from the government of British Columbia and private institutions.
In Vancouver Nicola is actively engaged in local arts and culture through volunteer work sitting on the North Vancouver Arts Council jury and community outreach programming at the Contemporary Art Gallery. She has opened her studio to the public during the East Side Culture Crawl and has collaborated and exhibited with other artists in an ongoing drawing club. Nicola has lived in many Canadian cities, most recently Iqaluit, Nunavut where the distinctive landscape inspired her current work.
